New litigation forum for securing indigenous title to land

The Haki Network is launching a new litigation forum to bring action to our recent call for universal implementation of the Endorois decision of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights. The Endorois decision is the latest step in an international movement to restore land rights to indigenous and native peoples around the world. The new forum corresponds with the recent publication by Haki members Cynthia Morel and Tiernan Mennen, “From M’Intosh to Endorois: Creation of an International Indigenous Right to Land”, which calls for national policy and legal reform, and when necessary, litigation to recognize traditional land use and rights.

Haki Network members are invited to the new forum to discuss potential strategies and identify partners in litigation.
